Born to a French mother and an American father, Jeremy's multicultural background and bilingual upbringing provided the foundation for his career as a global communicator. This blend of heritage and perspective has allowed him to navigate the world's most complex stories with the nuance and empathy of a true world citizen.
Currently serving as CNN's Jerusalem Correspondent, Jeremy is an Emmy Award-winning journalist who has been a vital voice on the frontlines of global history. Since the onset of the ongoing conflict in the region, he has reported extensively from Israel, Gaza and the West Bank, documenting the human toll and the profound impact on civilians with rigorous dedication.
Before his post in the Middle East, Jeremy was a prominent figure in the Washington press corps as a CNN White House Correspondent. He covered both the Trump and Biden administrations, breaking major stories on U.S. foreign policy toward North Korea, the federal response to the global pandemic and the internal dynamics of the 2020 presidential campaigns. His journey to the West Wing began in 2015, when he was embedded with the Trump campaign from its inception.
A proud graduate of FASNY, Jeremy went on to graduate Cum Laude from The George Washington University with a degree in International Affairs. Reflecting the spirit of our school, he uses his linguistic versatility as a bridge between cultures: he is fluent in French and conversational in both Hebrew and Spanish. Jeremy Diamond embodies the very best of our community: a commitment to truth, a mastery of language and the courage to witness history as it unfolds.
